Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes Association of Local Councils (BMKALC) arranged a series of meetings to enable town and parish councillors and clerks to air their initial views and comments on reorganising local government in Buckinghamshire.
BMKALC’s role was to ensure that the views, comments and concerns of town and parish councils were taken in to full account at the beginning of building the business case for a unitary authority. They wish it noted that they are and have been neutral throughout all these meetings.
Four events were hosted between 7 and 10 July 2016.
BMKALC have provided a detailed account of these meetings which can be viewed by clicking the link at the top of the page.
The report was used during the writing of the County Council’s proposal for a new council to ensure that the concerns and aspirations of town and parish councils were fully considered and reflected.
